Story:
Pat was born long ago in the land just south of the Great White North. John and Rosie had 4 kids in 4 years, then the TV was invented. Eleven years later, the TV broke down and 9 months later Pat burst onto the scene, wailing at the top of his lungs, they haven't been able to shut him up since!
Pat took classical piano lessons from the age of 5 until he turned 12. At the age of 10, he took up the trumpet as well. In the 7th grade, Pat bought Black Sabbath Vol. 4 and quickly followed that with Deep Purple's "Made in Japan". Classical piano was HISTORY and the trumpet was soon traded in on a Stratocaster with a whammy bar. Pat lead sang and played rhythm guitar in several bands through junior high and high school.
After a failed stint as a Space Cowboy he joined the Marines, got married, had a couple of kids and found himself stationed at the Marine Corps Finance Center in KCMO. In 1986 he was honorably discharged from the Marines and took a job in Kansas City.
Slumming around the local bar scene in 1990 Pat met a couple of guys from Philly that had just escaped from some monks at a semenary (is that like a seminary?). Tony and Dan were destitute and losin' (kind of like Grand Funk) and needed some work. After talking for a while they discovered a common love of Rock'n'Roll and thought they might be able to scrape up some money for burgers if they put together a little show. This led to the formation of 'the unworthy'. They toured all the local clubs and got back on their feet.
Pat married his current wife Renee' during this period, blending 'his' 2 boys (Sam and Tony) and 'hers' 2 girls (Stephani and Jessi) into a family of 4. That worked out so well that Pat and Renee' decided to work on 'ours', bringing Tyler and John into the fold for a grand total of 6 kids spanning 24 years.
After several years, all the members of 'the unworthy' found themselves Married With Children (yeah, like Al Bundy) and the band went on a rather permanent vacation.
In 2002 Pat and Geoff began kicking around the idea of putting something together, gave Tony a call and The Mooreheads were born. 6 years, 2 drummers, 5 bass players, and 2 guitar players later, Craven Moorehead is the last one standing...

Story:
Jim was born about the same time that Three’s Company first aired on ABC and Star Wars first came out in theaters. Some say that Three’s Company was directly related to Jim being born two weeks early, and Star Wars (specifically “The Force”) gave him the guiding light later used to perfect his drumming.
On June 14th, 1989 (the day Zsa Zsa Gabor slapped the cop), Jim picked up his first pair of drum sticks. He honed his chops mimicking such drummers as the late John Bonaham (Led Zeppelin), Lars Ulrich (Metallica), Vinnie Paul (Pantera), and Herb Alexander (Primus).
As a high school lad, he became accomplished in the Liberty High School snare drum line, and was the drummer for the first jazz band ever there – translation a band geek. After high school graduation (about the same time he got to first base with a girl) Jim got a haircut and a real job, discovering that women liked rockers who also didn’t live with their parents.
Jim jammed a few times with a few bands for the next ten years and even did a brief stint singing (yelling really), but mainly just ogled at women from afar and turning himself into a barstool at local breweries. He spent most of his time expanding his knowledge, academically, and beerically until crossing paths with the other Moorehead’s.
After intense interrogation and rigorous, sometimes brutal auditioning, he joined the Moorehead’s in January 2007. In January 2008, Juan welcomed the addition of Juan junior (Karsen) into the family.

THE LIFE AND TIMES OF STEPHON A. MCCANN – BASSIST EXTRAORDINAIRE
“Music has always been very important in my life. At age 3, I received my first record player. With birthday money from my 4th birthday, I purchased the 45 record – “Dancing Machine” by The Jackson 5. That was all I needed. I had to be involved, in some way, in this music-thing.
I spent the next few years listening to everything I could. In the 5th grade, I received and started playing the violin. When I got to Junior High, I played in the orchestra, and moved to the bass. In high school, I dumped the orchestra and moved on to where I could be seen better – Show Choir. (Yeah, I know) It was there that I honed my performance skills; not to mention my choreographing chops. Dancing and singing was addictive. I needed more spotlight. One of my older brothers had a guitar and a bass. He wasn’t playing the bass, so he gave it to me.
After graduating from high school, I joined a garage band. The Dirt Water Fox Band. We played southern-fried rock and some classics. We had a few gigs a month , but nothing serious. At 20, I joined the US Army Band. I figured, what better way to keep playing music, get paid for it, and earn money for college. It was great. I lived in Northern California; toured the entire West Coast, and learned a lot about music that I hadn’t already known.
When I got out of the military, in 1991; I went to work for the City of KC. With a lot of debt from my army days, I ended up selling all of my equipment. For years, the only time I played music was when friends of mine let me sit in with them, when THEIR bands played. After getting into the fitness industry in 1998, I became a certified personal trainer. Fast-forward to 2006; one of my clients mentions that he has a band that needs a bassist. I tell him that I play bass, but I had no equipment. He invited me over to jam on a Tuesday. I was their bassist by that Thursday. Since then, I have been in a couple of bands, acquired the best equipment I have ever had, and smartly left my flier up at Guitar Center, for these guys to find.
I’m a rock & roller at heart. You can’t be serious ALL your life. Find some way to have fun. This is mine.”
